HARRA's Runner of the Season competition has ended and results have been tabulated with cash ($$$) awards to Houston runners. Awards winners are here.

Fall 2013 Ironfoot Winners have also been announced. To earn the Ironfoot award you must run in the 5 races in the Fall series. Volunteer actitities can substitute for running at one of the races.Power In Motion - Spring 2014
HARRA's Power In Motion (PIM) program is a 10 week, adult, 5K running clinic for new and intermediate runners. It offers guidance, support, encouragement, training tips and a comprehensive training regimen for individuals wishing to improve their running ability. The first session is Wednesday, February 26th and the target race is the 5K is Cinco de Mayo. The 2013 Fall Series concluded with the Chevron Houston Marathon on January 19th and the Fall Series results will be finalized soon after. Forty-nine members have run all 4 individual events in 2013 and are in the running to win an Ironfoot award if they complete or volunteer at the Houston Marathon. Standings for the are available. Nineteen running clubs have scored in the Club and Team competition with the Bay Area Running Club, Bayou City Road Runners, Houston Striders and H-Town Runners leading in one or more of the 14 categories heading into the Marathon.

HARRA has worked with all these races for many years and they are all high quality. HARRA members are deeply involved in leading and volunteering at all of them in various ways from race directing to refueling stations to AED teams. If you are not running we urge you to volunteer in some capacity.Memorial Park’s New Stretching Deck and Running Trail Center
Construction has completed on Memorial Park’s new stretching deck. The dedication ceremony was Saturday, February 1st and the deck is now available to runners. Thanks to the hard work and many donations from the Houston running community who have made both the Deck and Running Trail Center a reality.HARRA Membership Renewal
HARRA Memberships expired at the end of June. You can still renew and get discounts for many races and for your shoes and clothes at local merchants. To renew, go the HARRA web site and on the home page, login (look on the middle of the right side for the Member Login link).
When you first login, you will be given an opportunity to update your membership information. You can then use the View and Action buttons to renew your membership. Under View, select My Membership and under Actions, select Membership Plan.
You can select either an Individual Membership or a Family Membership as appropriate and then proceed though billing information and confirmation.
