fellowship for runners of all abilities. Club runs: Saturday mornings at 8:00am
from Brenham High School tennis courts. |
Brian O’Neill’s Running Club Philosophy: Dedicated to making Houston a happier and healthier place to live by promoting a culture of Fitness, Fun, and Philanthropy. A “social” running club that encourages people of all fitness levels to make running a fun part of their daily lives while raising money for local charities. The club is supported by several major sponsors and membership is completely free. Club runs: Free weekly runs every Tuesday night. Runners can check in anytime between 5:30pm and 7:30pm at Brian O’Neill’s Irish Pub in Rice Village. Members run the 5k loop around Rice University then gather back at the pub for free post-run snacks and great drink specials. Members receive free prizes after their 10th, 20th, and 30th runs. Primary Location: Sugar Land Philosophy: To provide a friendly and inviting running environment to nurture and encourage fitness and performance for all ability levels from new runners to competitive athletes. Club Runs:Meet every Thursday (rain or shine) at Texas Running Company at 6:30 PM to run or walk either of our two loops (1.8 mile short loop or 4.7 mile long loop). Water and a sports drink will be placed out on the course at the start and midway points. The camaraderie continues at a post run happy hour and dinner at one of Sugar Land’s local eateries. Additional track workouts and hill workouts (parking garage) will be held on Tuesday evenings. Programs for new runners as well as full/half marathon training are also available for a fee. |
