Wade easily dispatched last Friday's field at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race 10K with a winning time of 31:24. For the second time this year, he defeated Columbia, South Carolina's Eric Ashton, 40, who finished 21 seconds behind Wade on Friday in 31:45. Three months ago at the Cooper River Bridge Run 10K in Charleston, South Carolina, Wade recorded the win with a 16-second victory over Ashton in 31:13. This year's U.S. masters 10K and cross country champion, Wade won $1,500 in winning the masters division at Peachtree. He was third a year ago as New Mexico's Mbarak Hussein won by posting the fourth fastest masters time in the event's history with a blazing time of 29:21.
