Attendance: Joe Sellers, Felix Lugo, Ram Tekumalla, Tom McBrayer, Bob Hoekman, Annie Hadow, Roger Boak, John Reich, Liz Bearman, Jeremy Mills, John Shepperd.
Bob discussed the progression of the police and the AED units. Police were encouraging but have not gotten back with Randy & Bob. The Police do not have AED training.
The "Smart ID" program is still being investigated.
Joe suggested that we give out bandanas instead of finishers towels to our HARRA Marathon participants. Roger will research this.
Running Club spaces at the George R. Brown on Marathon day was discussed.
"PARTY IN THE PARK" will be February 23,2001 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All clubs are invited to bring their tents to this event.
Jeremy will follow-up on the invoices for HARRA Races as to what was taxed or not. He will get with Randy. Races having 500 participants or less are not taxed.
Deadline for the next Footprints was 10-12-01.
Camille to work on arrangements for the HARRA booth at the Houston Marathon Expo. Booths run from $650.00 to $1,550.00, woith a $60.00 electrical cost. It was discussed on how to save on the costs.
The Treasury has been "NET Positive" for the last 3 months.
Jeremy is going to make the HARRA web-site more "user-friendly."
Felix will make sure all HARRA gear gets to all races and back.
Ram informed us that there were 334 participants at the Kids Run. Publicity was down this year, he will work on that for next year's event.New equipment cost of $1,150.00.
Houston Marathon warm-up series applicants is down by 25% from last year.
Annie informed us that membership is down 15% from this time last year.
