Board Reports:

Communications/ Footprints: Anna reported for Jon that the April issue of Footprints has been approved and has gone to press. With the May/ June issue, we will have gone through a complete cycle of mentioning ever Member Discount Program member at least once. Jon noted that he has been getting excellent response to requests for club reports. Since he has limited space to work with, he is going to publish reports from only those clubs who are current with their HARRA club dues. Jon also reported that he is working to get the ability to post HARRA members’ non Houston running achievements, such as results from out of town races, multisport events, volunteerism, being published etc. on the HARRA news blog that Sarah Graybeal set up.

Treasurer’s Report: Audrey advised that February was not too busy. Our income was about $4K, mostly from PIM registrations. We paid the $25K pledge we made to the Memorial Park Conservancy Capital Campaign.

Tour de Bayou/ Trails: Roger announced that the Tour de Bayou is scheduled to be held every Tuesday in April. The first one will be at Spotts Park. Roger also announced that he had recently completed the club standings from the Fall Series.

The Woodlands Running Club: Bill Dwyer advised that the Woodlands Running Club has 125 members who are committed to joining HARRA, which will give them a competitive team beginning with the 2008 Fall Series.  Bill also announced that the Ten for Texas will be held one week later in 2008, so won’t go head to head with the USA 10 Miler.

Houston Striders: Steve advised that there had been a recent change in the Striders’ board. Going forward the Striders will be interested in holding social and running related events such as blind runs, predictor runs etc.
